I'm a little late to the game, but I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful Book Study! Building Mathematical Comprehension is an eye opening read! Chapter 2 discusses the importance of providing direct instruction of mathematical vocabulary. A few years ago, my teaching team and I implemented academic vocabulary instruction time in our daily schedules.
